Main Playlist Update 21/05/18

The playlist has had a big mix up this week! On the A list we have new additions from Arctic Monkeys with comeback track 'Four Out Of Five', joining them we also have Yxng Bane as well as David Guetta and Sia. Then on our B list we have added Courtney Barnett, Clean Bandit and Years and Years with 'If You're Over Me'. Then we've had some big changes to C adding new singles from Parquet Courts, Tom Grennan, King Princess and Christine and The Queens. Then as always we have refreshed our New Music playlist with ten of the best fresh finds and you can read all about them here:

Alessandro - Criminal: The new single from London based Alessandro, ‘Criminal’ is a soft alt-pop track, with tinges of raw emotional vulnerability. Having enjoyed features from The Line of Best Fit and the 405, Alessandro’s eclectic pop sound is on the rise.

Annabel Allum - em(ily): Attuned to DIY alternative sounds, Annabelle Allum’s newest release em(ily) touches on female friendship alongside its punk-inspired ethos. Playing with themes of airbrushed love and childhood nostalgia, em(ily) showcases an evolution for Annabel.

Charlz - Colours: Colours is the latest track from Melbourne’s dark electronic artist Charlz. The introspective song combines haunting strings and glossy vocals, marrying in a deeply touching synth-tinged pop track.

Eleanor K - I Can Only See Me: I Can Only See Me is the newest single from Crystal Fighters’ Eleanor’s solo project, Eleanor K. With authenticity and personality, the song’s pop hooks and jumpy percussion of the song mean so much more.

Elle Watson - Pressure: The R&B tinged Pressure from Elle Watson journeys through multitudes of genres and styles. Signed to Paul Epworth’s Wolf Tone records, Elle Watson’s sound is always eclectic and fresh.

LAUREL - Lovesick: Lovesick is the new track from YANNY oh sorry LAUREL, a London based singer-songwriter. Lovesick is a pensive and delicate song with smooth, soothing vocals; a glistening glance into Laurel’s retrospectivity.

Opia - Four Winds: Four Winds is the newest offering from LA-based Opia. With dizzying soulful pop hooks and soaring electronica, Four Winds thunders past blandness into infectious hook-rich pop.

Pip Blom - Pussycat: Bedroom vocals and scuzzy guitars marry on Pip Blom’s latest single Pussycat. The Amsterdam based songwriter truly has a homemade ethos, with this clear in her fuzzy yet melodic music.

YOWL - Warm (in the Soft White Fire of Modern Living): With whimsical and on point observative lyrics YOWL are back with the long named new single ‘Warm (in the Soft White Fire of Modern Living). Bringing anger, humour and poetic verses into this one powerful and energetic post-punk track it is clear this band aren’t going anywhere.

Zuzu - Beauty Queen: ‘Beauty Queen’ is the thunderous new track from Liverpudlian Zuzu. Taken from her aptly named EP ‘Made on Earth By Humans’, the track combines rock and roll guitar with a catchy melody that’ll sound great all summer.
