Based around the true idea that the US military once attempted to create soldier's who could mentally influence their surroundings and famously attempting to kill a goat with their minds, comes a story with a large cast, with Clooney, Bridges, McGregor & Spacey all involved you would expect a high laugh, high quality romp, however the film doesn't fill the shoes it orders, although funny at times, there is a sense that the film is based around an idea and not a story. This does lead to a lack of purpose to the main plot and often makes you think that there should be something more to the story. Unfortunatly this film suffers from a simlar fate of 'Burn After Reading'. Although there is a great performance by Jeff Bridges as the founder of the 'new earth army' the film does make you leave with a distinct taste that you were served half a dish.
