Today marks the launch of this years Livewire Unsigned! The annual battle of the bands is coming back bigger and better than ever before! At 7pm on the 25th November, Livewire take over the LCR for the first time and its completely free for people to come to!

Bands confirmed are:

Alex Ross and The Reasons Why

Wild Front Tears

Port Isla

Kodeta

Each band will do a 25 minute set with the aim of winning the first prize of 2 days recording at Future Studios and a music video directed and recorded by UEA film and media students! Second prize is a headline slot at Livewire’s Hearing Aid as well as a slot on the Livewire playlist!

HOWEVER - THERE IS A TWIST!

This year, we are having a public vote to determine who gets the FINAL SPOT at Livewire Unsigned!

Astral Void, The Promenade and Cassetto UK are all battling it out and you need to decide! Give each one a listen and vote here! Voting closes at 12pm 16th November so don’t miss your chance to get involved in the line up!

Livewire 1350 fully support the steps taken by Save UEA Music and the Union of UEA Students to counter attempts by the University of East Anglia to close the school of music.

On Tuesday 1st November, there is a meeting to discuss further action and also a large protest on the 9th.
